Hi! My name is Obianauju Anita Mlemchukwu,

I am the founder and CEO of Anita Did It, a hair business I started at the age of 15. My passion for braiding began when I first felt my mom’s hands gently working through my hair — a moment that inspired me to start braiding my sister’s hair. From there, I decided to build something bigger: a business that debunks the stereotypes surrounding Black hair care and maintenance in our community, while promoting healthy, sustainable ways to care for and embrace our natural hair.

I officially launched Anita Did It during my freshman year at Stanford, and it has since grown into something truly special. I’m deeply grateful for everyone’s constant support along the way.

As a student hairstylist, I offer 21 services ranging from women’s braids to men’s locs to children’s styles. I’m dedicated to ensuring your hair looks and feels its best, offering personalized consultations to enhance your unique style while prioritizing the health of your hair.

Our hair is our story — so I encourage you to stay true to you. 💫
